Manual Lathe.

Even though automatic lathes, semi automatic lathes like capstan lathes, turret lathes and flexible lathes like CNC lathes and NC lathes are available, Manual lathes are still in use. As they are cheap compared to automatic lathes, cost of production is cheap, single piece orders of intricate pieces can be easily turned.

All operations including turning, facing, threading, drilling, boring, external threading, knurling, chamfering, offset turning, elliptical turning can be done with manual lathe.
